Activities of Cornwall Humanists
During lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic, meetings are being held on Zoom.
Monthly meetings are now held at The Kensey Building, Truro College, Daniell Road, Truro TR1 2XJ
You can visit the Find Us page to see a map.
We meet on the third Tuesday of each month except December, for discussions and talks from 7.00pm until 8.45pm.
People meet informally from 6.30pm to start the main meeting at 7pm.
Members of the public are most welcome to attend our open meetings, and some do so.
Also we have meetings, held on 2nd Sunday of the month 11am to 12.30 pm at the Arts Cafe, River Street, Truro (next to the museum)
Informal meeting over coffee, to discuss Humanism & related topics. Stay on for lunch if you wish. All welcome.
We also meet socially about once a month, sometimes to visit a place of interest like Launceston Museum, or the Leach Pottery.
Sometimes we have a bring and share lunch in the home of a member.
Parents sometimes come to us with concerns about School Assemblies, worried that religious indoctrination may be taking place.
We have a representative on Cornwall’s SACRE, (Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education).
The RE adviser is often able to help by clarifying the options available.
