| We normally meet every third Tuesday of the month for talks and discussions. We now meet in the Conference room in the Fal Building, Truro College, at 7.30pm, except in December, when there is no meeting. If you are interested, you are welcome to come along, free of charge or obligation. We usually have about six social events each year, either hosted by members, or as outings to places of interest. 15th 2014 Role and Responsibilities of the Multi-faith University Chaplain Rev. Becky Barber, from Falmouth University and Exeter University in Cornwall will give us an overview of the responsibilities shared by the multi-faith team. She will lead a discussion about the role of faith in the context of Higher Education. |

20th Arab Spring Pedyr Prior, CH Member, will lead a discussion on the impact of the recent political upheavals in Arab States. |

15th Singing for the Brain Pip Wright, a Singing for the Brain leader trained by the Alzheimer’s Society, will talk about the rewards of her work and links in a holistic way to the benefits we all get from singing. |

16th Living in a Buddhist Society Simon Lazenbatt, CH Member resident in Sri Lanka, will discuss the way that politics, education and culture in modern Sri Lanka are influenced by the philosophy and practice of Buddhism. |

21st Energy from the Earth - Secure, Diversified and Low Carbon Dr Tony Bachelor BSc PhD, MD of GeoScience Ltd., a Falmouth based company, will look at the issues, the responses by individuals, the challenges and some of the technologies that are appropriate for providing energy security. |

The Cornwall Humanists Group was founded in 1991, and is affiliated to
the British Humanist Association and
the National Secular Society.
We promote Humanism and represent atheists, agnostics and the like-minded throughout
Cornwall and beyond. We provide friendship, and a forum for discussion and support.
In the National Census of 2001 about 16%, over 80,000 people in Cornwall, declared
themselves to have "No Religion".(they are not all members). In the
2011 National Census 161,320 people in Cornwall, 30.3%, declared that they had
